MassDOT Announces Lane Closures On Route 6 Bridge In Swansea

Work on the bridge will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

SWANSEA, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that it will begin structural repairs to the Route 6 Bridge over I-195 in Swansea Monday, March 29.

Work on the bridge will take place Monday Through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is expected to continue for approximately two months.

Temporary lane closures and traffic control measures will be in effect on Route 6 to allow for construction. However, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times in both directions. Drivers should expect delays and use caution.

For traffic updates, MassDOT encourages travelers to do the following:
