Doris H. (Szczepkowski) Brisson, 73, of Swansea, passed away Sept. 17, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of Normand J. Brisson to whom she has been married for the past 49 years.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Pelletier) Szczepkowski, she lived in Assonet before moving to Swansea over 40 years ago.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1958, she worked as a teller at the former Slade's Ferry Bank for many years.
An avid Red Sox fan, she enjoyed crocheting and visiting Newport Grand Ja Alai.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her two sons Robert N. Brisson of Swansea and Brian M. Brisson and his wife Marianne of Taunton; her brother Walter Szczepkowski and his wife Julie of Lakeville; her sister Helen McCrohan of Berkley; her aunt Jenni Bacci of Assonet; her four grandchildren Ashley, Ryan, Kyle and Cassidy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Stanley, Philip and Leo Szczepkowski.
Burial in Assonet Burying Ground.
