Route 114A Intersection Construction To Begin In Seekonk

Sixteen-month Massachusetts Department of Transportation project set for intersection of Fall River Avenue and County Street.

SEEKONK, MA — Construction work at the intersection of Route 114A and County Street is scheduled to begin on Feb. 1. The project to improve traffic flow through the intersection is expected to cause alternating traffic and lane closures, and is scheduled to take 16 months.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation sent out a notice on the work that will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The project will include utility work, excavation, pavement milling, paving, curbing, sidewalks, driveways, drainage, installation of traffic signal equipment, pavement markings, traffic controls and other improvements.

Ricon Construction LLC is the contractor for the project.
