Swansea Obituary: Louis Lachance

LACHANCE, LOUIS R. age 61, of Ocean Grove Swansea died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Charlton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Sharon (Mason) Lachance. Louis was a Fisherman for over 35 years and was the Co-owner and President of Ark Bait in Swansea. He was formerly an Iron Worker. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and was a former member of the East Bay Anglers. He is survived by a son, Louis Lachance and his wife Susan of Plymouth; a step-daughter, Nicole Delisle of Swansea; a step son, Keith Delisle and his wife Kerri of Dighton; a daughter, Ashley Lachance of Swansea; four grandchildren, John Monize, Arianna, Nicholas and Nathan Lachance; three brothers, Steven, Michael and Patrick Lachance and two sisters, Sheila Harrington and Elizabeth Gallant. He also leaves behind his companion Carolyn McMann. He'll be greatly missed by his beloved dog Max. His funeral will be held Monday, June 3, 2013 at 9 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by his funeral mass at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardeners Neck Rd., Swansea. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Visiting hours, Sunday 4-8 PM. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Swansea Animal Shelter, 68 Stevens Rd, Swansea.
