Swansea Prison Guard Moonlighted As Heroin Dealer: DA
Stephen Lebreux, of Swansea, was arrested after selling heroin to an undercover police officer at the Swansea McDonald's.

SWANSEA, MA — A Swansea man who moonlighted as a heroin dealer while working as a prison guard was recently sentenced to 3 ½ half years in prison. Stephen Lebreux, 43, pleaded guilty two counts of heroin trafficking and three counts of distributing heroin. He was sentenced earlier this month in Fall River Superior Court.
Lebreux was arrested in February 2016 after selling heroin to an undercover police officer at the Swansea McDonald's on multiple occasions. At the time, he was working as a Department of Corrections officer and selling heroin on the side in the Fall River area, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn.
"(Lebreux's) drug dealing contributed to the serious opioid problem, and was a breach of the public’s trust because of his position,” Quinn said in a statement.

Police launched an investigation into Lebreux after receiving information from confidential informants, Quinn said. He was found with about 19 grams of heroin at the time of his arrest.
Lebreux was also sentenced to a year of probation upon his release from prison.
