Geocaching 101

Veteran Geocacher Tyler Clark returns on Saturday June 22 and Saturday June 29th to present two programs: Geocaching 101 and Advanced Geocaching. It’s a great time to start a new hobby. Join Tyler as he introduces the fundamentals of geocaching on June 22 starting at 10:30AM and continues with an advanced class on June 29th at 10:30AM.
Geocaching 101 will cover the basics including an introduction to the hobby, how to get started, finding and hiding caches and will include a small field trip. Geocaching is high tech treasure hunting. Players try to locate containers, called geocaches, using GPS-enabled devices. Tyler will include field trips for each class. Learn the ins and outs of this great hobby and learn strategies for finding a cache as well as how to hide one your self. This is a Swansea Library Family Fun Activity and is good for all ages. Discover geocaching! It is a great way to get outdoors and see the world.

The warrant opens Tuesday, June 11, 2013 and will close at the Town Hall close of business, Tuesday, October 1, 2013
