2023 Shrewsbury Election: Everything To Know Before You Vote
Shrewsbury voters Tuesday will go to the polls to pick new select board, school committee and housing authority members.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Voters in Shrewsbury will head to the polls Tuesday for the 2023 town election, which will feature contested races for seats on the select board, school committee and housing authority board.
On top of the contested races, voters will also be selecting library board trustees with three candidates running for three open seats. There's also a 10-way race for eight seats representing Precinct 1 at Town Meeting.
Although small, this year's election will mean change in Shrewsbury. Two-term school committee member Jason Palitsch is not running for reelection this year, and attended his final meeting on April 26. But there will be an even bigger shift on the select board. Chair Maurice DePalo is not running for reelection after a 30-year run on the board.
