4th Annual Armed Forces Day Breakfast Planned For Shrewsbury

The 4th Annual Armed Forces Day breakfast, honors all service men and women, active or retired.

SHREWSBURY, MA—It's the annual celebration designed to honor the armed forces of the Shrewsbury area.

The 4th Annual Armed Forces Day breakfast, honoring all service men and women, active or retired, is happening this year at SAC Park, 438 Lake Street, Shrewsbury, on Saturday, May 19, from 9-10:30 a.m.

Representative Hannah Kane will be joined by several of her colleagues in the legislature whom are co-sponsors of the annual event, which includes patriotic musical selections, poetry, and a continental breakfast.

This year's featured guest speakers include Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Congressman Jim McGovern, Major General Gary Keefe of the MA National Guard, Shrewsbury Deputy Fire Chief Bruce Card Jr. (retired Air Force), Acting Captain Shaun Weigold (retired Army), and Central MA Veterans Service Director Justin Sousa.

The event is free and open to all active and retired military personnel and their families and members of the public who would like to take part in honoring those who have served.
