From Shrewsbury Board Of Selectmen: Beth Casavant has announced that she will run for the Board of Selectmen in the upcoming May 2, 2017 municipal election. Current Shrewsbury Selectman Henry Fitzgerald will not be seeking a third term.
Former Finance Committee member John Campbell, local physician Dr. Nandana Kansra, fellow parent
and former PTO President Lorraine Daignault and long-time resident Brenda Ljunggren are supporting
Casavant’s candidacy as co-chairs of her campaign.
“I am eager to take this next step to further participate in our town government,” Casavant said.
“Shrewsbury is a well-managed community, offering quality municipal services and strong public schools
while maintaining one of the lowest tax rates in the area. I will advocate for continued economic
development and careful spending to support public safety, maintain and strengthen our infrastructure,
meet our retirement and pension obligations and position our town for a strong future.”
