Shrewsbury police arrested a Hopkinton woman who allegedly stole from Price Chopper on route 9.

Shrewsbury police arrested Lorilei J. King, 48, 34 Main St., Apt. 2, Hopkinton, yesterday after she allegedly shoplifted, assaulted a Price Chopper employee, failed to stop for police and acted with disorderly conduct.
According to a police statement, King took items from the shelf and concealed them in her purse before walking past several open registers and exiting the building. The value of the items in question was reported to be $29.29.
King was then stopped by a loss prevention officer with the store who says that she became combative and assaulted him.
