SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury police investigated a perceived threat against the high school, but have determined that it was likely too vague to pose any danger.

According to police, the threat was seen on Snapchat Friday morning. Local police and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security looked into the threat, and found that it was "vague in nature and not specific to Shrewsbury."

"Despite this, the Shrewsbury Police Department has had Officers in place at the school all morning and will maintain heightened vigilance to ensure the safety of our students and faculty," police said.
