Police Log: Assault on a Juvenile, Disorderly conduct Arrest

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 15

8:28 a.m.: An officer took a report of a two-car crash near Flynn’s Truck Plaza.

8:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.: An officer stopped several vehicles on Old Mill Road. Two drivers were given verbal warnings and a third was given a written warning.

9:55 a.m.: A caller from Beths Road reported an ongoing issue of illegal dumping in the neighborhood.

10:10 a.m.: A caller reported a past larceny from their residence on Boston Turnpike.

10:45 a.m.: A caller reported that a delivery vehicle knocked down a stop sign on Bailey Road. An officer spoke with the operator of the suspect vehicle and issued them a citation.

11:26 a.m.: An officer assisted in removing an unwanted female from a residence on Arbor Drive.

12:06 p.m.: A caller reported a crash in front of Midas on Boston Turnpike.

12:42 p.m.: An officer responded to a minor crash on Boston Turnpike. Three vehicles were involved.

2:46 p.m.: The Animal Control officer removed a dead cat from a location Sewell Street.

3:44 p.m.: An officer performed traffic enforcement at the intersection of South Street and Lamplighter Drive.

4:47 p.m.: The Animal Control officer picked up a found dog and brought it to animal rescue.

6:01 p.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Main and Holden streets. No injuries were reported.

7:07 p.m.: A resident of Rice Avenue requested to speak with an officer regarding suspicious letters.

10:11 p.m.: Officers responded to Moe’s Southwest Grill where they arrested Chad Morse, 32, of 167 Blackington Rd., New Salem. Morse was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.

Tuesday, Oct. 16

7:58 a.m.: an officer responded to a two-car crash on South Street. One car was towed.

12:37 a.m.: An officer assisted a resident with a lockout on Boylston Street.

1:31 p.m.: A resident went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report a larceny by computer hacker.

4:57 p.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on Boston Turnpike, A citation was issued to one driver.

5:40 p.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on Hartford Turnpike. The paper exchange was completed before an officer arrived.

6:06 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a two-car crash on Main Street.

7:27 p.m.: A resident of Lexington Road reported an unknown person that was just on his deck. The caller said he never saw the person but heard them run down the steps.

7:53 p.m.: A caller from Old Barn Road requested to speak to an officer about a suspicious person at the house earlier in the day.

9:31 p.m.: An officer responded to UMass Medical Center to take a report of a assault that occurred at a business on Boston Turnpike. The assault resulted in lacerations to a juvenile’s face.

9:36 p.m.: An officer responded to a single car crash on Route 290. Injuries were reported.

11:37 p.m.: An officer spoke to a male who was unwanted at a location on South Quinsigamond. The male was removed from the property.
