Police Log: Break-In on Cobblestone Way

Wednesday, Oct. 24
12:15 a.m.: A vehicle was towed from a marked fire lane at an apartment complex on Arbor Drive.
7:33 a.m.: An officer assisted the Shrewsbury Fire Department with a dryer fire on Catalina Drive.

9:58 a.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash on Boston Turnpike. No one was transported to the hospital.
11:01 a.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash on Hartford Turnpike.

11:30 a.m.: A caller reported a truck on Hartford Turnpike that was leaking diesel fuel. The truck was towed.
3:!2 p.m.: A caller reported a break-in on Cobblestone Way.
4:04 p.m.: An officer responded to a three-car crash near Friendly’s. No injuries were reported.
6:00 p.m.: The Animal Control officer documented a phone call with a resident of South Street.
7:24 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Main Street and arrested Joseph Avey, 22, of 27 Osgood St., Fitchburg. Avey was arrested on warrants.
9:07 p.m.: Officers from the Shrewsbury Police Department were advised to be on the lookout for an armed robbery suspect out of Framingham.
