Police Log: Drunken-Driving Arrest, Shoplifting From CVS
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 18
7:50 a.m.: A caller reported illegal dumping near Chipotle on Boston Turnpike. An officer responded and spoke with the suspect.
11:32 a.m.: A caller reported larceny from Sunbelt Rentals on Hartford Turnpike.

1:28 p.m.: A caller reported vandalism to their vehicle in the Friendly’s parking lot. An officer responded but didn’t observe any damage to the vehicle.
3:18 p.m.: An officer from the Shrewsbury Police Department inspected a car seat installation for a resident.

4:11 p.m.: An officer responded to a crash on Plainfield Avenue. One vehicle was towed.
4:14 p.m.: An officer responded to a crash on South Quinsigamond. No injuries were reported.
4:36 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a male in sweats trying to break in to the Verizon building on Grafton Street. The male was gone when the officer arrived but pry marks were observed on the door.
5:27 p.m.: A caller said she had been involved in a road rage incident and followed the other person involved to Jacobson Drive. An officer responded and spoke to everyone involved.
6:04 p.m.: An officer reported some furniture that had been dumped illegally at the intersection of Holden Street and Bow Street.
7:21 p.m.: A caller advised the police of a female who was in the process of shoplifting from CVS on Boston Turnpike. Officers spoke to the female and issued a court summons for shoplifting.
7:44 p.m.: A caller from 284 Boston Turnpike requested to speak with an officer regarding suspicious people who were in the store. The caller said one male and three females were acting suspicious before leaving in a vehicle with New Jersey license plates.
11:10 p.m.: A Worcester EMS medic reported an erratic driver in the area of North Quinsigamond and Boston Turnpike. An officer stopped the vehicle and arrested Timothy Rondeau, 26, of 14 Mohave Rd., Worcester. Rondeau was charged with drunken-driving.
Friday, Oct. 19
1:49 a.m.: A caller reported that he could hear arguing nearby on Oak Street. An officer responded and spoke to a male who was arguing with a female on the phone.
12:07 p.m.: A resident went in to the station to report a violation of an abuse prevention order.
1:06 p.m.: A caller reported a crash near Bed Bath and Beyond on Boston Turnpike. An officer responded; no injuries were reported.
1:37 p.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on Hartford Turnpike. No injuries were reported.
4:29 p.m.: Several callers reported a jackknifed tractor-trailer at the intersection of Route 140 and Estabrook Road. Officers responded and assisted to get the intersection clear.
4:45 p.m.: A resident reported a larceny that occurred on Boston Turnpike.
5:19 p.m.: An officer took a report of a two-car crash near Friendly’s.
5:56 p.m.: An officer responded to a three-car crash on Hartford Turnpike. One vehicle was towed at the owner’s request.
6:44 p.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 9 and South Street.
7:30 p.m.: A caller from Choice Auto Center reported an on-going issue of illegal dumping.
7:52 p.m.: An officer checked a suspicious trailer near Burlington Coat Factory. The owner was not sure why the trailer had been left there and responded to pick it up.
8:03 p.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Boston Turnpike and Oak Street. Both vehicles were towed; one operator was given a ticket.
