Police Log: Felony Breaking and Entering, Civil War Reenactment

Sunday, Oct. 14
12:37 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.: A Shrewsbury Police officer stopped three vehicles on Boston Turnpike and issued the operators written warnings.
1:08 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Boston Turnpike and arrested the operator: Firas A. Zein, 33, of 21 Cutler St., Worcester. Zein was charged with speeding, operating with a suspended license, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating without an attached license plate.

2:58 a.m.: An officer spoke to a person on Boston Turnpike who was looking for directions.
9:25 a.m.: A caller reported an intoxicated male destroying her apartment on Shrewsbury Green. The male was taken in to protective custody.

9:33 a.m.: A caller from Lake View Avenue reported an assault resulting in a head laceration to a male. The male refused transportation to the hospital.
1:22 p.m.: A caller reported a noise disturbance on Olde Colony Drive. There was a Civil War reenactment nearby in Worcester.
3:17 p.m.: An officer responded to a crash at the intersection of Boston Turnpike and Maple Avenue. One vehicle was towed.
4:55 p.m.: A caller reported a dead bird near a light pole on Mercury Drive. The Shrewsbury Fire Department was contacted regarding a check of the power lines.
6:27 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Crimson Drive earlier in the day.
10:04 p.m.: A female caller reported that her boyfriend had just assaulted her on Arbor Drive. When officers arrived they arrested Timothy Holland, 41, of 3112 Arbor Dr. Holland was charged with assault and battery.
Monday, Oct. 15
1:27 a.m.: An officer responded to two males who were possibly entering the Goodwill container on Boston Turnpike. Valdir Baros, 25, of 66 Paul Bunker Dr., Taunton and Marcos A. Teixeira, 18, of 16 Ellsworth St., Brockton, were arrested. Both men were charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny over $250. Teixeira was additionally charged with witness intimidation.
