Police Log: Lost Beagle, Identity Theft
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 1
1:30 a.m.: An officer reported that the window on a boiler room door at a location on Maple Avenue had been recently broken. The officer secured the door.
10:49 a.m.: A resident went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report a theft.

11:47 a.m.: A resident reported a suspicious incident that occurred on Sept. 28. An officer took down the information.
12:48 p.m.: An officer responded to South Street and arrested Robert Howland, 55, of 12 Courtland Rd., Westborough. Howland was charged with violating a restraining order.

1:58 p.m.: A resident reported possible identity theft.
3:03 p.m.: The Animal Control officer responded to a call from Northborough for a pit-bull. It was the same pit-bull that had been picked up twice in Shrewsbury the previous week.
3:32 p.m.: A caller reported a lost beagle on Cherry Street.
5:45 p.m.: An officer responded to Route 20 where the odor of natural gas was reported.
6:50 p.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash on Boston Turnpike. No injuries were reported.
7:28 p.m.: The Massachusetts State Police reported that they received a 911 call from Holman Street regarding a female with a mental health issue. Officers responded and the female had left but there was a dispute over custody.
8:14 p.m.: Officers responded to a three-car crash on Route 20. All three vehicles were towed.
9:24 p.m.: An officer responded to a location on Boston Turnpike where a person was standing on the roof of a taxi. The person was measuring a sign.
