Police Log: Slashed Tires, Stolen Ring

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

 Monday, Oct. 22

12:16 a.m.: A caller reported that he struck a deer on Hartford Turnpike.

9:40 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of slashed tires on Rice Avenue.

12:10 p.m.: Two vehicles were towed after a crash on Prospect Street. No injuries were reported.

2:54 p.m.: A detective began to investigate a report of a stolen ring from Edgemere Boulevard.

3:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: An officer stopped several vehicles at the intersection of South Street and Lamplighter Drive. Several written warnings were issued.

4:53 p.m.: A resident requested the Animal Control officer remove a pit bull from a residence on Artemas Avenue.

5:01 p.m.: A detective began an investigation in to a report of larceny by check.

5:33 p.m.: An officer spoke to an elderly person after a neighbor called and reported they had been trespassing.

5:33 p.m.: An officer took a report of a hit and run crash that occurred near the Mercedez-Benz dealer on Boston Turnpike.

7:31 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious person knocking on doors on Main Street. An officer transported the person to the Northborough line.

8:20 p.m.: Officers from the Shrewsbury Police Department assisted Sutton Police Department by arresting Mark E. Edwards, 45, of 193 North Quinsigamond. Edwards was arrested on probable cause from Sutton PD. He had committed a Domestic A&B in Sutton. Once arrested in Shrewsbury he was handed over to Sutton PD.
