Police Log: Two Arrested for CVS Theft
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Oct. 2
12:00 a.m.: A caller reported a male near Maple Avenue making odd statements. He was gone when an officer arrived.
12:32 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Main Street and issued the operator a summons. The vehicle was towed.

6:42 a.m.: A 911 caller reported a pole on fire on Lake Street.
6:53 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of a suspicious male on Rawson Hill Drive. The man, who was reportedly looking into vehicles, was gone on an officer’s arrival.

8:53 a.m.: A caller from Casavan Avenue reported two suspicious males in the area. One was wearing a hardhat; the other was wearing a reflective vest.
9:34 a.m.: A caller reported three suspicious males on Camelot Drive. The men were checking trees for signs of the Asian longhorn beetle.
9:51 a.m.: The Worcester Police Department reported they recovered a stolen vehicle in the woods near Bow Street. The Worcester PD notified the owner.
11:59 a.m.: Several callers reported a multi-car crash on Grafton Street. Four vehicles were towed; two people were taken to the hospital.
12:57 p.m.: A detail officer advised about a crash on North Quinsigamond. Two vehicles were involved on the scene and a third reportedly left the scene.
1:41 p.m.: A person went to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report a fraudulent check.
5:49 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of vandalism on Oak Street. They did not observe any vandalism.
6:38 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at CVS. They were last seen heading west on Route 9 by foot. Alan Beard, 26, of 87 Nicholas Ave., Boylston and Naomi Brown, 24, of 245 East Main St., Marlborough were arrested. They were both charged with shoplifting by concealment and conspiracy.
9:39 p.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash on Old Mill Road. No injuries were reported.
