Police Log: Warrant Arrest, Missing Hearing Aid

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 8

12:44 a.m.: An officer responded to a suspicious group of people on Jordan Pond. The people were spoken to and moved along.

1:31 a.m.: A caller from Heywood Street reported an unknown male walking through their yard. Officers from the Shrewsbury Police Department responded but the male in question could not be located.

3:19 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of “some type of strobe light” flashing on Cobblestone Way. When they arrived they discovered that it was not an alarm and the resident shut the light off.

9:37 a.m.: A caller reported an infant sleeping alone inside a vehicle on Boston Turnpike. An officer responded and reported that it was a blanket on a car seat and there was no child in the vehicle.

9:48 a.m.: A caller from Worthington Avenue reported that their jewelry and hearing aid had gone missing.

2:38 p.m.: Officers responded to a traffic complaint of vehicles parked on the grass at Choice Auto Center.

3:42 p.m.: An officer took a report of a car crash on Old Brook Road. No injuries were reported.

3:49 p.m.: A caller reported to a group of teens smoking marijuana behind 7-Eleven. An officer responded and reported that the teens were smoking cigarettes.

6:58 p.m.: A resident reported a hit and run accident.

7:07 p.m.: A caller reported a domestic incident that occurred on Lake Street. The male involved vandalized the female’s vehicle as he fled the scene.

8:42 p.m.: Officers stopped a vehicle on Boston Turnpike and arrested Mark D. Wright, 22, of 81 Oak St., Clinton. Wright had a warrant out for speeding, operating an unregistered vehicle and operating without a license.
