Saint Mary School Presents 'Godspell Jr.'

Congratulations to Saint Mary School’s (Shrewsbury) cast and crew of "Godspell Jr.," who participated in recent productions at St. John’s Black Box Theater special thanks to choreographer Arlena Boyle and director Derek Sylvester for their guidance in leading the students through three amazing, inspiring performances!

The opportunity to perform on a real stage with lights, sound, multiple props and an engaged audience was a thrilling experience for many of the first time actors. Auditions for "Godspell Jr." began in January and students in grades 5-8 were encouraged to sing, dance or share a talent for proper character assignment in the musical.

As the cast portrayed Bible parables through creative storytelling, engaging songs and real life examples, the entire cast, crew and audience learned the values of kindness, peace and love for one another, all important principles on the journey we travel.

The fifth-grade cast and crew of "Godspell Jr. are Sabrina Boyle, Emily Ferguson, Owen Ferguson, Natalie Hannoush, Marcus Johnson, Karisma Lavana, Kiara Lavana, Victor Nedelescu, Trisha Pahari, Lily Perkins, Natania Piby, Zofia Sargent, Elise Siciliano and Calum Reding in sixth grade.

The sixth-grade cast and crew are David Alex, Ciara Boyle, Mackenzie Collins, Camryn Hughes, Danielle Kane, Natalie Moura-Westdijk, Meg Sullivan and Olivia Zerwas.

Eighth-grade cast and crew are Noel Abalos, Grace Clifford, Alex Johnson, Austin Muzzy, Alex Nedelscu and John Nichols.
