Sewer Upgrades To Begin In Shrewsbury Next Week

The project is scheduled to end May 2021. Traffic along certain routes could be affected.

SHREWSBURY, MA — The Town of Shrewsbury is scheduled to kick off phase one of its Route 20 Corridor Sewer Upgrades next Monday, May 18. The project will continue through May 2021.

The town said it will install new sewer mains on Arrowwood Drive, on Lake Street (from Arrowwood Drive to Route 20), and on Route 20 (from Lake Street to the Worcester City line).

The town said it does not anticipate sewer services will be disrupted by the upgrades, but traffic will be affected. Work will be done during the daytime, and the town said it anticipates only one lane of traffic will be open in each direction
