Shrewsbury Crime Rises And Falls In March

In Shrewsbury, certain crimes were higher in March from February, but other categories saw a decrease.

SHREWSBURY, MA - The Shrewsbury Police Department (SPD) issued its monthly at-a-glance crime statistics for March 2025. Overall from February, the total arrests went down from 21 to 20. The total incidents went up from 3,514 to 4,102. There were fewer 911 calls.

For the month of March, the following crimes were reported:

  • Total arrests: 20
  • Total incidents: 4,102
  • Criminal summons issued: 27
  • 911 calls: 860
  • Accidents/disabled vehicles: 130
  • Animal complaints: 61
  • Arrest warrants served: 4
  • Burglar alarm calls: 75
  • Disputes and disturbances: 31
  • Domestic disputes: 8
  • Identity theft: 18
  • Investigations: 72
  • Larcenies and shopliftings: 15
  • Medical calls: 296
  • Missing persons reported: 5
  • Motor vehicle stops: 609
  • OUI alcohol/drugs: 8
  • Suspicious persons reported: 207
  • Threats and assaults: 15
  • Wellbeing checks: 41
