Shrewsbury To Flush Hydrants Tuesday, Wednesday

Residents are encouraged to run outdoor and downstairs bathtub faucets if water is discolored.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury's Water and Sewer Division will work Tuesday and Wednesday to flush the town's hydrants.

In a statement, the town said flushing will last from 8 a.m. to noon on each day. The hydrant at 464 Hartford Turnpike will be flushed to remove potentially stagnant water at the dead end section of the water main.

The town said it's not expecting widespread water quality issues for its residents, but discolored water is possible.
