Shrewsbury Native Contributes to Win of Ice Hockey Championship

Among the team members contributing to the success of the Worcester Academy's Girls Ice Hockey Team was Samantha Yard, of Shrewsbury.

From Worcester Academy: Worcester Academy's Varsity Girls Ice Hockey Team enjoyed a successful 2017 season, winning the NEPSAC Division II Championship. It was the first time the team made it to the finals since the program was begun six years ago. Among the team members contributing to the success of the Girls Ice Hockey Team was Samantha Yard of Shrewsbury, Grade 10.

Like many Worcester Academy students, Samantha has excelled both on and off the field while also embracing the Academy's core values: honor, respect, community, personal growth, and challenge. Samantha has built camaraderie, developed strategies for competition, and learned valuable lessons about achieving goals through Worcester Academy's athletic program.

In fact, many graduates credit the Worcester Academy experience for their successes in life.
