Shrewsbury Police Arrest Driver After Moped Stop

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Feb. 28

8:55 a.m.: A caller from Sheridan Drive reported a larceny.

10:36 a.m.: A resident of Gulf Street went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report an attempted larceny.

1:00 p.m.: The Animal Control Officer removed a raccoon from a dumpster on Main Street.

4:57 p.m.: An officer took a report of a hit and run crash at the intersection of Main Street and Maple Avenue.

6:25 p.m.: An officer stopped a moped on Sewell Street and Candlewood Way. Edward Clough, 53, of 120 Sewell St., was arrested and charged with operating with a suspended license.

10:39 p.m.: An officer spoke to a male who had been parked at the gas pump at Sunoco on Boston Turnpike for more than an hour.

Friday, March 1

12:48 a.m.: Officers responded to the Worcester City Motel where they arrested three people. Alexander Ramirez, 34, of 32 Oxford St., Apt 3, Worcester was charged with possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute, Nicole Leite, 29, of 66 School Park, Linwood faced a warrant charge of unarmed robbery and Jaqueline Majeau, 24, of 15 Newbury St., Apt 3, Worcester faced warrant charges of prescription fraud and possession of a controlled substance.

8:26 a.m.: An officer took a report of a two-car crash on South Street. The officer issued a criminal application after one of the operators shows a suspicious license.

10:52 a.m.: A loss prevention employee of Building 19 reported shoplifting. Officers responded and took a report.

11:42 a.m.: Officers were told to be on the lookout for the suspect in an unarmed robbery from Kay Jewelers at the Auburn Mall.

12:34 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle in front of PETCO on Boston Turnpike. Sarah Lews, 24, of 16 Ashworth Dr., North Oxford and Jared Nylen, 24, of 62 Moscow Rd., Jefferson were both charged with possession of a class A substance and receiving stolen property worth less than $250.

2:25 p.m.: The loss prevention employee at Building 19 reported that they had taken a female into custody after she was caught shoplifting. Felicia Ramirez, 54, of 9 Lagrange St., Apt. 3, Worcester was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

4:04 p.m.: Officers arrested Sean Wogan, 19, of 352 Grafton St. while serving him an arrest warrant for unarmed robbery of a person older than 60.

7:00 p.m.: Officers responded to White City Shopping Center where a caller reported that she was having an argument with her boyfriend. Christopher Hanson, 24, of 492 Quaker Hwy. Apt. 2, Uxbridge was arrested and charged with witness intimidation.
