Shrewsbury Police Respond for Broken Window, Domestic Assault
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. All arrests are reported. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 7
9:07 a.m.: A dead possum was removed from Lake Street.
11:11 a.m.: A caller from Lakeside Drive requested an officer for a dispute over a fence. The parties were spoken to.
4:32 p.m.: Police received a 911 call for a tree branch on the wires on David Road.
4:49 p.m.: A caller requested an officer to check on a broken window on Hawthorne Road. Police checked the exterior; it was possibly broken from a construction company.
6:05 p.m.: Police received a 911 call for a 16-year-old male on Harris Avenue who was verbally and physically abusing his parents. The teen was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
11:12 p.m.: A caller reported a domestic on Edgewater Avenue. The male party had left before police arrival. Derunta Yarnell Hayden, 36, of 43 Edgewater Ave., Apt. 2, Shrewsbury, was arrested at 3:31 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, and charged with assault and battery and intimidating a witness.
