Shrewsbury schools Report 18 Coronavirus Cases

New COVID-19 cases vary greatly per school district, from 2 to 18 cases each.

SHREWSBURY, MA — School Superintendent Joe Sawyer reported in a letter on Sept. 10 that the district had seen 17 new COVID-19 cases since the start of school.

That number is now up to 18, he said today. Numbers are updated every Monday on the district's dashboard.

The Grafton School District reports 16 new COVID-19 cases since the start of school. There were eight cases between Aug. 30 to Sept. 3, four cases from Sept. 4 to Sept. 10, and four cases from Sept. 11 to Sept. 15. Weekly updates can be found on the district's COVID-19 dashboard.

Holliston has seen nine new COVID-19 cases during the first 10 days of school. According to the district's dashboard, the nine cases were between Sept. 1 and Sept. 10, at the elementary and middle schools with no cases reported for Holliston High School.

Northborough & Southborough School District has had seven total new COVID-19 cases, including three at Algonquin High School, from Sept. 1 to Sept. 12 . The district releases numbers weekly on its dashboard.

Hopkinton has had two new cases reported between Sept. 1 to Sept. 15, according to Hopkinton's dashboard. Both cases were at Marathon Elementary, one on Sept. 3 and one on Sept. 13.

Westborough reports a total of two new COVID-19 cases from Sept. 6 to Sept. 10. One case was a student and one was a staff member, according to the district's dashboard.
