Worcester Academy 12th grader Lena Polito conducted advanced Latin research at the University of Massachusetts.

From Worcester Academy:
WORCESTER, MA (06/13/2016)-- Students in Dr. Timothy Markey's advanced French and Latin language classes at Worcester Academy conducted original research using source documents and Renaissance texts, including some dating to the 16th century. Among the students was Lena Polito of Shrewsbury, Grade 12, who conducted Latin research at the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Markey and his Worcester Academy Latin IV Honors students examined Renaissance Latin texts, including "The Shepherd's Calendar" and "Virgil's Eclogues," dating prior to 1600, at UMass-Ahmerst. His AP French Language and Culture students visited the Worcester Art Museum (WAM), where they researched French culture and the arts with help from Debby Aframe, a WAM and College of the Holy Cross librarian, who partnered with WA students.
