Shrewsbury Student Grabbed By Unknown Person While Walking Home
Police are investigating after a report of a student who was grabbed by an older male on her way home from the bus stop.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Police are investigating after a female student was "physically grabbed by an unknown older male individual," according toa statement from Shrewsbury Public Schools.
The student took the late bus home from Shrewsbury High School and was dropped off at Stoney Hill Road. She was walking along a path in a wooded area to the Cherry Hill/Cherry Street neighborhood with another student when the person grabbed her.
The police report indicated that the student reacted, and the individual released her and ran off.

"The Shrewsbury Police are actively investigating this incident and will be increasing their presence at that location," Shrewsbury Superintendent of Schools Joe Sawyer said in a statement.
