Shrewsbury Student Named NEWMAC NCAA Woman of the Year Nominee
Emily Doherty was recognized for excellent work on and off the field.

WORCESTER, MA (07/01/2016)-- Emily Doherty is a 2016 graduate of WPI this spring with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Doherty will also be continuing her education to receive a Masters in Operations and Analytics Management from WPI.
The senior was a member of the WPI women's soccer team where she was a two-time NEWMAC All-Conference honoree, two-time All-New England selection while capping off her career with a Third Team All-America recognition. Off the field she was participated in Big Brother Big Sister, Colleges Against Cancer, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, Student Teaching Assistant, Institute of Industrial Engineers and was a member of Alpha Pi Mu (Industrial Engineers Honors Society).

Doherty earned Dean's List recognition from 2013-2016 while she graduated with high distinction honors.
Doherty received CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in 2015 with All-District accolades in 2014 and 2015 and NSCAA Second Team Scholar All-America recognition this past fall.
