Student Athletes Excel During Winter Seasons
Many of the Colonials competed in state level competitions.

It was a good winter season for Shrewsbury Athletes, the cheerleaders won the state championship, many teams mad it to state competitions and individual athletes excelled across the board. Here are some of the highlights from the winter season.
Alpine Skiing: Kylee Smith finished 35th out of 140 females in giant slalom, Laura Roche finished 97th in giant slalom and 202nd in slalom and Connor Nash finished 45th out of 146 males in slalom.
Girls Basketball:Â Made the state division I playoffs. Winter Cheerleading: Won the David Prouty Invitational, Shepherd Hill Invitational, Midland-Wahusett Division A Championship, MSSAA Regional championship and the MSSAA Division I state championship.

Gymnastics: Finished 3rd at Midland-Wachusett league championships, finished 10th at MIAA state sectionals. Girls Ice Hockey: Won CMASS championship, qualified for division I playoffs. Boys Hockey: Advanced to district semifinals.
Swimming Teams: Girls finished 3rd at Midland-Wachusett championship, boys finished 7th at Midland-Wachusett championship, combined 6th place at Midland-Wachusett championship, five athletes competed at MIAAÂ division I championship, Individual and relay teams finished top three in girls 220 medley relay, girls 400 free relay, girls 200 individual medley, girls 100 breast, boys 200 individual medley, girls 50 free, girls 500 free and girls 100 back.

Girls Indoor Track: Finished 2nd in Midland-Wachusett league, finished 7th in the 4 x 200 relay at the all-state championship, Dominique Hall finished 3rd in the New England championship 300 meter sprint after winning the all-state championship.
Boys Indoor Track: Finished 2nd in Midland-Wachusett league, finished 3rd in district 1 invitational, Jay Reynolds placed 6th in the state championship 3rd in the all-state championship and 14th at the New England championship in the 55 meter and Rino Tonelli was the Massachusetts Division I champion in the high jump.
