Town Of Shrewsbury: Important Update From The Water & Sewer Division - Unidirectional Flushing To Continue On 12/2

Contractor, Hydra Tech, will continue unidirectional flushing in Zone 12 on Thursday, December 2nd. They completed unidirectional flushing in Zone 11 today. Please follow the link below for a map of the flushing areas. Since the fall of 2019, unidirectional flushing has been completed in Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 with only Zone 12 remaining to complete the entire town.Â

Flushing will begin around 8:00AM on Thursday, December 2nd and be finished around 4:00PM. It is difficult to estimate how the work will progress each day so the list below may be optimistic but is provided to better inform everyone in the area that may be flushed. Daily updates will be provided.

Tentative flushing schedule for Thursday, December 2nd from 8:00AM to 4:00PM:
Due to the flushing, residents in the identified area as well as those in the vicinity of the project may experience brief periods of reduced pressure or discolored water. If you experience discolored water once the flushing is complete, please run the cold water in downstairs bathtub until it clears.Â
