Trash Pickup Delayed In Shrewsbury Due To Nor'easter
A storm on Tuesday could drop as much as 8 inches of snow in the Shrewsbury area.

SHREWSBURY, MA — With a relatively strong nor'easter set to hit the area Tuesday, Shrewsbury's trash provider is calling off pickups.
With no pickup on Tuesday, Waste Management will conduct that day's pickup on Wednesday. Wednesday's pickup will take place Thursday and so on through Saturday.
"Please make sure your materials are at the curb on the new designated day, free of snow and not behind snow banks," the town advised Monday morning.

A storm that was initially predicted to bring around 12 inches of snow to the area shifted south Monday afternoon, putting the heavier bands of snow closer to central Rhode Island. Shrewsbury is straddling an area that forecasters think will see either 4 to 6 or 6 to 8 inches by the end of day Tuesday.
Shrewsbury's St. John's High School had canceled all classes as of Monday afternoon.
