Water Distribution Testing In Shrewsbury On Thursday

Two water distribution tests will happen on Thursday. Here's how they might impact you.

SHREWSBURY, MA— Shrewsbury residents should be aware of upcoming tests that may affect water quality.

The Shrewsbury Water and Sewer Division will conduct two water distribution system flow tests on Thursday. According to a post on the town’s website, the first will begin at 1 p.m. near 905 Hartford Turnpike, and the second will begin at 9 p.m. in the vicinity of 222 and 224 Boston Turnpike.

The testing is to gather important information about the town’s water flow.

The Water and Sewer Division warns residents in the area that there may be brief periods of reduced pressure or discolored water. After the testing is complete, if you are still experiencing discolored water, the division recommends running cold water until it clears.
