Woman Rescued After Driving Into Flint Pond In Shrewsbury

Witnesses saw the driver going fast before hitting the entering the pond from the Oak Island Boat Ramp.

SHREWSBURY, MA — A woman was rescued from her submerged car after driving into Flint Pond Thursday morning, according to multiple reports.

The woman was seen driving fast before entering the water via the Oak Island Boat Ramp, which is just off of Route 20.

First responders located the woman floating near the car. She was taken to UMass Memorial in Worcester, but her condition was not immediately clear, the Community Advocate reported.
