Name: Lindsey Wolfe

Age:
29

Occupation:
Physical Therapist

Marathon Experience: “
This will only be my second - I ran The 2013 Chicago Marathon.”

Reason for Running: “
Running the Boston Marathon has been a dream of mine for years, and I was motivated by the tragic events that occurred during the 2013 Boston Marathon. I woke up the next day and felt so thankful to have the ability to get out of bed and put on my running shoes. Immediately, I set my heart on running my first marathon in hopes of qualifying for Boston. The following fall I ran The Chicago Marathon for Team Paws, where I accomplished my goal - running fast enough to qualify. Each and every day that I am able to run, I am thankful and can’t wait to be a part of this world class, epic event!”

Training Tip: “
Well, since I’m a triathlete, I would say cross training is key. Throughout my training, I’ve been swimming and cycling a lot, and I feel that has been a main reason that I’ve stayed injury free and healthy. As a physical therapist, I think it is really important to stretch and use a foam roller daily to decrease the risk for overuse injuries.”
