2) Author Event "Gangsters of Boston"
From the listing: "Journalist George Hassett discusses his new book 'Gangsters of Boston.' This book is the first comprehensive account of three centuries of thug life in the city where Amreica began." It includes tales about the American Revolution, Prohibition and, of course, Whitey Bulger. It's at 7 p.m. at The Book Shop.
3) JazzX with Matt Daniel
Matt Daniel, a vocalist, will perform jazz and pop along with Celia Slattery and Bill Duffy. The music is at 7 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.
