Man Allegedly Caught With Mutilated Body Parts In His Apartment Charged With Murder

Authorities upped the accusations against Carlos Colina from improper disposal of a body to murder.

To the shock of absolutely no one familiar with the case, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced Wednesday evening that 32-year-old Carlos Colina, of Cambridge, will be arraigned and formerly charged with murder this upcoming Tuesday. Police say they found body parts both in Colina’s apartment and disposed of in nearby duffel bag last weekend.

His alleged victim was Jonathan Cremilian, 26, of Somerville.

Authorities had already accused Colina of assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and improper disposal of a body. There is also an open, unrelated charge of assault and battery standing against him.
