Person Struck, Killed By Commuter Rail In Somerville
A person was fatally struck by a Fitchburg Line train Friday afternoon.
SOMERVILLE, MA — A person was fatally struck by a Commuter Rail train in Somerville Friday afternoon. Transit police responded to the Beacon Street area around 1 p.m. for a report of a person possibly hit by a train.
Transit police said a male was struck by an outbound train on the Fitchburg Line while on the right of way. He was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Foul play is not suspected.
