Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from March 11 to March 17. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.
Assault and battery
On March 11, Walter Bennett, 55, of Chelsea, was arrested at 75 Mystic Ave. and charged with assault and battery and larceny. He was also arrested on warrants for drug possession, conspiracy to violate drug law, failure to stop or yield, failure to signal and operating with a suspended license. According to a police report, Bennett was caught shoplifting at Home Depot, and then got into a struggle with the security guard there, attempting to throw an elbow at the guard, then shoving him into shopping carts.
Drug-related arrests
On March 14, James Pasteur, 24, of Malden, was arrested at 124 Broadway and charged with drug possession and drug violation near a school or park.

On March 14, Kevin Merzier, 28, of 9 Bartlett St., was arrested at 16 Cross St. and charged with drug possession, resisting arrest, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and drug violation near a school or park.
On March 15, Fernando Silva, 32, of 141 Pearl St., was arrested at 15 Cross St. and charged with drug possession. He was also arrested on warrants for having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt, drug possession, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and equipment violation.

Operating under the influence
On March 17, Timothy Costello, 27, of Rockland, was arrested at 345 Medford St. and charged with possessing an open container and possessing a dangerous weapon.
On March 17, Kenneth Hubbard, 24, of Boston, was arrested at 345 Medford St. and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes violation.
Driving without a license
On March 11, Robert Murphy, 63, of 33 Minnesota Ave., was arrested on Highland Avenue and charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to stop for police and failure to stop or yield. He was also arrested on warrants for uttering a false check, larceny, driving with a suspended license and marked lanes violation.
On March 15, Jaime Rivera-Tejada, 41, of Cambridge, was arrested at 181 Somerville Ave. and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and lights violation.
On March 17, Said Janele, 27, of 1370 Broadway, was arrested on Broadway and charged with driving with a suspended license, speeding, failure to stop or yield, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and number plate violation.
Other arrests
On March 11, Henry Enrique, 19, of 30 Minnesota Ave., was arrested at 272 Broadway and charged with possesison of a dangerous weapon.
On March 14, Gregory Mayala, 25, of Cambridge, was arrested at 73 Bartlett St., and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon. According to a police report, Mayala, who seemed to be casing out driveways on Bartlett Street, had a spring-loaded knife and a stiletto knife.
On March 15, Cord Deal (a police report also spells the last name Real), 21, of Medford, was arrested at 682 Broadway and charged with destruction of property. He is accused of throwing a rock through the window of The Pub in Ball Square.
On March 15, Brian Harron, 29, of Malden, was arrested at 44 Professors Row and charged with open and gross lewdness.
On March 16, Stephen Woodman, 54, of 53 Preston Rd., was arrested at that address and charged with violating an abuse prevention order.
On March 17, Howard Dashion, 27, of Everett, was arrested at 345 Medford St. and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.
Warrant arrests
On March 12, Daniel McClean, 55, of 268 Washington St., was arrested on Knowlton St. on a warrant for violating an abuse prevention order.
On March 12, Noel Pefine, 44, of Medford, was arrested on Holland Street on warrants for driving with a suspended license, violating an abuse prevention order and number plate violations.
On March 13, Bryan Exume, 21, of Woburn, was arrested on Pearl Street on a warrant for drug possession.
On March 13, Thiago Nunes, 27, of 422 Mystic Ave., was arrested at 121 Temple St. on a warrant for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
On March 15, Christopher Sanecchiaro, 42, of 371 Broadway, was arrested at 103 Bailey Rd. on warrants for driving with a suspended license, speeding and not having an inspection sticker.
On March 15, Frank Sepulveda, 32, of Dorchester, was arrested at 77 Middlesex Ave on warrants for larceny, crosswalk violation, drug possession, assault and battery on a police officer, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and forging or misusing an RMV document.
