Somerville Announces 2 Veterans Day Events
The City will host a Veterans' Breakfast and a Veterans Day Wreath-Laying Ceremony, the latter at a local cemetery.
SOMERVILLE, MA — The City of Somerville has announced multiple Veterans Day-related events scheduled for next week.
From 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, the City will host a Veterans' Breakfast, which will take place at the Somerville Council on Aging, located at 167 Holland St.
According to city officials, the breakfast is open to local military veterans and their guests on a first come, first served basis. Those interested in attending can RSVP to Debby Higgins, the outreach coordinator for the Somerville Council on Aging, at 617-625-6600, ext. 2321 or dhiggins@somervillema.gov. The deadline to RSVP is Monday.

On Saturday, November 11 — Veterans Day — the City will host a Wreath-Laying Ceremony, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Veterans Cemetery in West Somerville, located at approximately 1330 Broadway.
The event will begin with a short speaking program, followed by the wreath-laying. The ceremony will take place rain or shine, according to city officials.
