Somerville Book Store Becoming Wedding Venue For LGBTQIA+ Couples: Report

SOMERVILLE, MA — All She Wrote Books, a feminist and queer bookstore on 75 Washington St., is hosting marriages and wedding ceremonies, according to a report from Boston.com.

The “wedding marathon” is slated to take place on Saturday, Aug. 30. LGBTQIA+ couples can “tie the knot” with an hour-long ceremony with photography, cake, and a book-themed wedding gift for $500. The one-day event is in response to the recent petition made to the Supreme Court asking for it to consider reversing its 2015 ruling which allowed same-sex marriage nationwide. The store will also provide legal paperwork for couples in case of any upcoming legal status change.

Last winter, All She Wrote also offered elopement services for a limited time.
