Founded in 1983, SCATV is the oldest community access center in Massachusetts and served as a model for access stations across the country, according to <a href="http://www.scatvsomerville.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">SCATV's website</a>. The television station produces public affairs shows, public service announcements, political forums and arts programs, among other things. It also operates <a href="http://www.bostonfreeradio.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Boston Free Radio</a>. Thursday's party takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the SCATV building, 90 Union Square. Everyone who's participated in SCATV projects over the past 30 years is invited.
