Somerville Moves 2020 Pride Events Online
The city will host two virtual events Sunday to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month.
SOMERVILLE, MA – The city is taking its LGBTQ Pride Month celebrations virtual this year. Mayor Joseph Curtatone will lead a virtual Pride Flag raising ceremony Sunday, June 7. Visit the City’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/SomervilleCity) at 10:30 a.m. to watch a livestream of the short, socially distanced ceremony.
At 11 a.m., the Somerville Arts Council Facebook page (www.facebook.com/SomervilleArts) will feature the Big Gay Dance Party Virtual Dance Brunch. DJ Stevie Psyclone will provide music and there will be a performance by local drag artist Amanda Playwith.
The Arts Council will also be sharing a brunch recipe you can try out at home. Both events are open to all members of the LGBTQ community and allies.
