Somerville Nonprofit To Hold Socially Distant Parade
3LPlace, a nonprofit for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, is holding a safe drive-through parade for its members.
SOMERVILLE, MA — The members and staff of 3LPlace, a nonprofit for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, will greet each other in a safe drive-thru "parade Friday in and around Teele Square.
The parade will take place from 2-3 p.m. 3LPlace members have been meeting on Zoom but have not been able to see each other in real life since the coronavirus pandemic separated them nearly two months ago.
Members have chosen a two-part theme day: bring your own musical instrument and dress for a parade (anything goes!). Participants will communicate at a safe distance, the nonprofit said.
