Somerville Resident Runs Falmouth Road Race for Local Youth Mentoring Programs
Hollie Fletcher To Lace Up for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands on August 17

SOMERVILLE, Mass. – On August 17, Hollie Fletcher, of Somerville, will take on the Falmouth Road Race to support youth across Cape Cod and the Islands. Running on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands, part of Massachusetts’ leading one-to-one mentoring program, she is raising funds and awareness to help youth to thrive with a caring adult in their corner.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands, a proud member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts family, is the only one-to-one youth mentoring organization serving every town on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and Plymouth. The agency is on a path to impact the lives of 1,000 youth with a mentor by 2028.
Fletcher is a Big Brothers Big Sisters staff member and was a Big Sister in college.

“When I was first matched with my Little Sister, she couldn’t care less about me or what I had to say, and now she calls me every other day to tell me about everything that has happened at school. It is so rewarding and humbling to be able to work in an organization that gets to work with people from every single walk of life, and everyone wants better for the kids,” says Fletcher, who is one of over 25 Falmouth Road Race runners hitting the pavement and fundraising for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands this year.
With research and proven outcomes at its core, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands is working to defend the potential of children facing adversity and ensure every child has the support from caring adults that they need for healthy development and success in life.
