Somerville's Aeronaut Brewing Expanding Into Everett

SOMERVILLE, MA — Aeronaut Brewing Company will open another location in the former Down the Road Beer Company space in Everett. Aeronaut bought the brewery's equipment and reached an agreement on the lease for the building earlier this year, Boston.com reported. Down the Road closed last summer following the sudden death of founder Donovan Bailey.

The aim is to increase production of Aeronaut's current slate of beers, and the company will move production of its popular brands like "A Year With Dr. Nandu" IPA to Everett. There are also plans to open an outdoor patio this fall, while an indoor taproom is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The new location, called Aeronaut Cannery, will be located at 199 Ashland St. in Everett.
