STONEHAM, MA — The Stoneham Police Department received a $1,000 donation to support its Community Policing Unit programs. The donation was given by Cummings Community Giving, an initiative by Cummings Properties to recognize and support communities where employees in its real estate division and affiliated New Horizons retirement communities live.

The donation was presented by William Branco, a Cummings Properties employee who lives in Stoneham.

"This was an incredibly kind gesture and we are deeply appreciative of this support and recognition from Cummings Properties," Chief James McIntyre said. "Our Community Policing Unit oversees annual events and initiatives that help our department form positive, rewarding relationships with our community and give back to our residents."
