Obituary: John J. Bardis, of Stoneham

“John J. Bardis, 33, of Stoneham died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9 in Stoneham.

“Born in Boston on January 9, 1982, he was the son of James M. and Elizabeth J. (Lawrence) Bardis.

“John was a lifelong Stoneham resident. He was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 2000 and the Boston University School of Management, Class of 2004. Johnhad worked as a mortgage officer for Sage Bank in Wilmington. He enjoyed exercising with his friends at the gym as well as golfing, skiing and painting.

“In addition to his parents, John is survived by his sister Suzanne E. Bardis of Hermosa Beach, CA, his aunts Marilyn Frazier of Endicott, NY and MaryAnn Lawrence of Wakefield and his uncle Gregory Bardis of Binghamton, NY. He is also survived by his close cousins Geoffrey Frazier (Tara), Derek Frazier and Nicholas Frazier. Also, Johnwas very close to Geoffrey and Tara’s children, Cameron, Alec and Briella.

“Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday, April 15 from 3-7pm. There is also visitation at 9 am Thursday April 16 at the Funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
