Stoneham Firefighters Bring Park Street Fire Under Control

STONEHAM, MA — Firefighters worked to bring a fire on the third floor of a single-family home under control Monday afternoon. The fire was reported at a home on Park Street around 12:40 p.m.

Two residents were able to safely leave before first responders arrived. Firefighters saw smoke coming from the third floor and quickly extinguished the flames. The scene was cleared by 2:10 p.m.

No injuries were reported. A pet cat was rescued from inside the home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
